Storable

The Storable Platform is the storage industry's most comprehensive and powerful suite of products that empowers storage operators to run their businesses seamlessly. Integrated with a consumer-facing storage marketplace, facility websites, tenant insurance, and payment processing products, Storable helps over 15,000 business owners every day to “Do More.”
In collaboration with a class of 30+ UI/UX design students at the University of Texas, Fall of 2019
Role: Research & Design Mentor, Lead Visual Designer
The Problem: Storable (aka SpareFoot, the consumer-facing marketplace within the suite of products) was in need of user personas in order to help educate storage operators on how to cater to different types of customers. Personas are fictional characters, which are created based upon research in order to represent the different user types that might use a service, product, site, or brand in a similar way. Personas help designers and business owners to understand users' needs, experiences, behaviors and goals to better serve their individual needs.
Students in the class assemble in groups of 2-4 people to tackle a research plan, conduct the research and present their findings to the classroom. Example of a group presentation by Kelley Van Pelt & Cat Swantner.

After each group of researchers handed over their findings, I was responsible for synthesizing common themes, responses and valuable insights into a consistent visual representation of Storable’s consumer targets.
