✨ Strain Hub Redesign
In collaboration with Senior Product Manager, Cara Rizzo and Leafly’s marketing & SEO team
Role: Lead Designer, User Research, Interaction Design, Visual Design
The Problem: The strains hub landing page was visually outdated with Leafly’s ever changing brand style and design system. The page was initially built in wordpress and owned by the marketing team, leaving product with little to no control over this important step during our user’s shopping journey.
What’s New
🤓 Educating users within each state on how they can utilize our strain experience with a new header to promote finding, ordering and getting their hands on their favorite strain
🌱 Exposing strain cards and images of flower instead of just stock photography that represented marketing collections
📍 Exposing the most popular localized strains available for online ordering and promoting high THC strains
⚕️Exposing the most popular “wellness collections”
🎠 Less carousel blindness to repetitive imagery by implementing different UI for each section to help promote the joy of discovery
📈 Collaboration with the SEO team to implement headlines and copy that honor a user’s intent in order to boost search engine rankings
👩🎨 Collaboration with marketing to visually update and align on streamlined components for current and past marketing campaigns of strain collections
📊 Product taking ownership of page to allow for data tracking and leading to less reliance on the marketing team to prioritize massive updates
🛍️ Ability to “add to bag” directly from this up-the-funnel-page
